Last year saw the re-release of Natural Snow Buildings' stunningly beautiful "The Dance of the Moon and the Sun." Quite a beast, and definitely one of my personal favorites. Unfortunately, less than 20 copies were sent out. Thankfully, the wonderful Tiliqua label will be releasing it (again) as a 4xLP with an extra side-long track. Killer, right? I think so.
This is the first solo work by Mehdi Ameziane (the female in NSB,) another criminally limited album (edition of 30,) under the moniker "TwinSisterMoon." As gorgeous as you'd expect, perhaps a bit more folk based, with some blissed out space moments here and there as well.
All tracks composed and recorded at home (Vitre, France) on 8 tracks between March and may of 2006. Drawings and layout by Solange Gularte.
Mehdi Ameziane: voice, acoustic guitar, effects, tampura, banjoline (sometimes bowed,) and tambourine.
